1st gen starter on 2nd gen?
Here is what I need to know, will a 89-93 starter bolt up & work on an 01 flywheel housing. The reason I ask is I am replacing my chevy tranny & flywheel housing with dodge stuff. Now my starter is on the driver side instead of the passenger side, so I think I will have a few clearance issues if I use the 01 starter. I noticed that the older starters mounted closer to the engine. I think the 89-93 starter will solve the clearance issues if it will bolt up. Thanks for any help guys. All this is going in my 72 if it matters (see sig)
