Conversion Clutch problems solved!

Just writing this to let you all know that I sucsesfull adapting a dodge master clutch cylinder to the firewall on my GM!!!!!!!!

I originally had the stock GM master on the fire wall and the Dodge slave on the tranny trying to disengage my Haisley Comp puller clutch...didn't work very good!!!!!! The cluth would only start to disengage at the bottom 1inch of travel and wouldn't completely disengage!

What I did was after talking to Haisleys about my problem was order a South Bend Clutch 2-piece hydraulic system from them. Once I got it I did some homework and figured it would work perfect with some minor modifications to the firewall! turns out I didn't even have to modify the firewall! what I did was take the stock bracket that holds the GM master cylinder up against the fire wall and modify it to fit the dodge unit. All that was needed for this was a bit of time and a dremil and its prefect. Once I had it machined it was simply a mater of putting it onto the Dodge master, shoving the unit thru the hole in the firewall and then bolting it down. Then I just had to bolt the slave up to the trany and atatched them with South Bends quick connect.

What is nice about these conversion and using the South Bend unit is that the master cylinder is totally adjustable and I was able to adjust my pedal hight just perfectly how I like it.

I will try to take some pictures of this for you all to see if I have time. Just wanted to post it and let any one know that is doing a 5 or 6 speed swap with your cummins swap into a GM/Chevy...it was really easy to do and money well spent!!!
