Just got a 6BT!
I just bought a '97 6BTA that will go into my M715, instead of the 4BT I had initially in, complete with adapter plate, flywheel and bellhousing. The 4BT will probably end up in another Jeep I have - A much lighter '63 J300 pick-up. The J300 has a T18 4-speed, late 70's dana 44's (disk brakes and open knuckle front) and 3.55 gears. Other than the low gears (I wish I had 2.73's), I think it's a perfect medium-duty setup for the 4BT. We'll leave the Dana 60 and dual dana 70's for the 6BT.
I'm very excited
