I know I said "no more"....
BUT....
This one will be too much of a "cool factor" to resist!
A while back, a friend gave me a 42" cut Murray mower with a 16 horse V-twin Briggs & Stratton vertical shaft engine. The carburetor had messed up (trash in bowl, float stuck closed) and he burnt up the starter trying to crank it. He got p1ssed and gave it to me. I already have a good (properly fueled) Kubota mower, so this one has been sitting in the shop.
While searching recently for the engine I got for our hot water washer at work, I found a vertical shaft 17 horsepower Yanmar engine. Yep, I am going to breathe new, properly fueled life into this ole Murray! I will post pics after I pick up the engine and get the gasser off of it. This one should be fun, especially since the mower is an older one (all metal!) and in good condition.
Only one more project will be looming in my mind and that is a diesel push mower. Hatz makes an engine and my old Lawn Boy 2-stroke has seen better days and is getting hard to get parts for. Time for diesel power!
