Cummins Big Cam III
I was at Inland Kenworth this morning trying to buy some filters for my '95 and they had a sheet of paper taped to their counter:
Recon Engines!!!
Cummins Big Cam III, 400 h.p.
Out the Door: $9,975.00
1 Yr. 100,000 mile warranty
Core Charge $8,975.00
That Big Cam is early 1980's technology isn't it? I wonder if some friendly nut has ever put one in his pickup?
The parts guy also told me Inland Kenworth used to sell adaptor kits to put a Cummins B engine in Ford and Chevy Pickups. He said the kit had "everything you needed."
