Ford/Cummins Comming Closer...
Well I know that i've been kind of hiding as of late. I've been waiting for a Cummins mechanic up here in my neck of the woods to put back together (just exterior stuff) a '93 B model and the rest of the accident victim 4X4.
He's finally pulled it this last Saturday, only to find out that it would no longer rotate. To make a sad/long story short, it has a cracked head and had leaked water down into the #5 cylinder and rusted it but good.
As with most stories, I think it's gunna have a happy ending. He also has another of the same B model with only 120,000 instead of the bad one with 139,000. He's susposed to deliver it to the house later this week all ready to run.
I know that the crewcab FORD has been looking forward to this for sometime since I decided not to take apart my '90 dually for the swap.
Please wish me luck........
Thanks,
Dennis in Dewey
(backroad)
