Wise TDR members please help. Truck is a 1996. I have poor heat in the cab unless I put the heat selection switch on recirculate. In recir mode it will cook you out but the windows start to fog up. Switch to defrost and the heat is only pee warm. Any ideas. Thank you for your time and input.

front axle rebound, scary...

Hello,

Yesterday, on the road, my front left wheel hurt 2 or three small bumps, I was about at 50/55 mph. My front axle start to bounce and it wouldn't stop until I put the brake on. It was a very big and constant bounce, like an earthquake in the cab, I had one of my daughter in the truck and she was scared. The same thing happened to me few years ago, it was with a Comanche... I've never resolved the intermittent problem before I sold the truck...
It's scary because when it happens it seems that you don't have the control of the truck...

What to check ?
Thanks in advance !

I bought a 98, 12 valve, not too long ago. It seems to have a few mods done on it, but I would realy like to talk to who ever owned it before me. I bought it from a used auto dealer in upper Michigan, he told me it came from Texas. But, he couldnt tell me who had owned it. Does anyone out there in TDR land have some way to help me track down the ones who owned it before me? Many thanks!

wife drove it and parked in driveway, when I went to move it, no start. 42k miles and the dealer replace the injection pump and installed an IN TANK lift pump. Last week I noticed the pressure was low, about 5 psi. It never had more than 7 with the new pump and the same gauge I had before. I'm afraid the pump has died, still showing 1/8 th fuel tank level. Darn we have put less than 3k miles since the new pump was installed.
should I drop the tank or is there an easier way to check; where is a good spot to trace the wire from the ECM to the pump?

Y'all,

Onslow county area of NC has expierenced a extreme amount of rain in the past couple days. Roads are getting flooded and whatnot. So anyways, I need to get to work tomorrow. Im pretty sure the roads are somewhat gonna be flooded. Here is where I need help. My rig doesnt have a lift and stock 265/75R17's. No fabricated snorkel or high stacks. My question, how high can I ford before its too much. I test every water area before I go through, to make sure there isnt a current and such. Any and all help would be appreciated....at the time of this post, it is 2247 EST. I leave for work 0500 and will check post prior. Thanks in advance CTD family....

Dually Flared Fender Repair

One of my rear flared fenders on my RAM 3500 is damaged. I bought some fiberglass repair, but when I looked closely I could tell the fender wasn't fiberglass.
So, off to TDR to find an answer. Now I've confirmed that the flared rear fender is in fact plastic and not fiberglass.
Does anyone know what kind of plastic repair material is available to repair my fender? I'm tempted to try the Off-the-shelf plastic repair epoxy material they sell at Home Depot that looks and smells just like the regular epoxy repair material.
Any and all ideas and suggestions will be appreciated.
I'll do my best to take some pictures just in case it works. ;-)

98 QC 12v. I was doing some off roading last year and while the truck made it the drivers side towing mirror side swiped a tree and didnt. I have replaced the mirror glass and thought I had it held back in place but the frame itself bent and now glass is popping back out and I would prefer to just replace the whole piece. Anyone know where I can find the mirror or have any laying around that I could buy? Its the kind that bolts on to the doors and can be fipped around for towing etc.. Thanks
