Changing Tire Size

Just got my 99 Ram 2500 Sport, first diesel I have owned, (great truck) it now has LT265\75R16 I looked at BFG LT285\75R16E tires for it, does anyone know how this size tire will affect its handling ect... also can the speedometer be corrected with this size tire.
