To Do list

I bought my truck about 8 months ago. It had 212k on ther odo when i bought it. Since i have logged another 10k on it. I hjave changed the transfer case oil, engine, tranny, fuel filter etc., the normal stuff. I would like to start adding more power but first i want to see what kind of condition the engine is in. Besides a compression check what other things can i do to determine the condition of the engine? Thanks
