Be careful out there

Called a local heavy truck sales/repair place that had Cummins service. Pretty cool when you can take the wife out for dinner and pick up an oil filter at ten PM! Anyway after I told them the SPECIFIC oil filter number for the 24 valve as listed in TDR, they sold me one correct number and one that was to previous specs.
You guessed it, I installed both and did not notice until yesterday. I showed the parts guy the update on the TDR, and he apologized and ordered the correct filters.
It just goes to show that trusting the expertise of ''experts'' can get you in trouble. That wrong filter is subject to rupture in cold temps, so please check the TDR before installing your filter
I'm going to buy from Geno's from now on!
