Fuel pump ?

My dad was at a truck stop yesterday, fueling up the Ram, and talked to a guy working on the pumps. The station had the truck pumps, with large nozzles and the regular pumps with the gas islands, and the guy told him that the truck pumps do not have filters, as it would take too long to fill the rigs up. He said the diesel pumps at the gas islands do have them. He also said a lot of filters get messed up by that. I haven't had any problems with my filters, have changed 2 of them now. None of them looked like some of the ones pics I have seen posted here. Anybody else hear of this?
