Full size diesel SUV

Looks like GM has stopped putting the Duramax in their 3/4 ton full size SUVs. This means that the Ford Excursion is the only way to get a diesel in these large trucks. GM now only lets you choose between the 6.0 gas and the 8.1 gas. Does this seem odd to anyone else?
