Hot (Semi) Rod Diesels

I thought I would share a few shots from this past weekends annual "Truckin For Kids" event. The 24th annual event was held at their new home for the first time, Famoso Raceway, Bakersfield, Ca.

Most of the two axle tractors use 8V 92 Detroits with the exception of the '60 KW (orange) which had a 855 Cummins. The three axle International had a 12V 71 Detroit. They were all running in the 11 to 13 second range with speeds from the 80's to 112mph.
