Exhaust killing plants???

Has anyone noticed their Diesel exhaust killing plants? I'm renting a room from a friend right now and the bush right next to my exhaust pipe when I park in his driveway started dying shortly after I moved in. We're trying to figure out if it is the exhaust or if it could be something else. It isn't an enclosed area... there is usually somewhat of a breeze... and the truck only idles for a few minutes as I start it up or cool it down when I get home. Any thoughts?
