I was looking at the Pennsylvania Rig post and reminded me of required State

Inspections for your vehicle. I grew up in North Central PA (hence my handle) and if memory serves me well enough (been gone 40 years) the $%^&* inspections while good intended were often a huge money maker for the local garages. I know what a hassel it was trying to get a vehicle through teh required state inspection so you could get that *&^ sticker on your window! I haven't lived in a State since ( and had a license in 10 others) that had a similar program.

BTW - if safety were such a huge issue resulting from these - you can be assurred they would be more common and in fact probably standard. IMO - they are a huge ripoff!
