Newer Tech= Lower Mileage... WHY?
Why does mileage keep getting worse on the every newer model Dodge Cummins truck built?
What I am saying is that when you run down the road doing 1800rpm without a load on flat land why would one 5.9L get better mileage than one that makes less power? Example: the 555 VS. the 600 Why do the 555's get better mileage?
I would think the main way a 600 is going to go beyond 555 ft lbs is because it can get more fuel, but, it isn't always getting full fuel.
To turn a constant 1800 both programs should give the same amount of fuel, right? Kind of like the P7100 12v VS the 98.5 24v You would think the newer technology would have improved mileage despite a very slight power gain? With the 12v VS 24v thing, more air flow= improved efficiency, right?
I hope yall understand what I am trying to say...
