I drew one over to the dark (smokey) side
A friend of mine was shopping for a new car. We had talked alot about diesels, my conversion, and the greater mileage potential. He priced a few new cars/suvs with diesel offerings. In the end he decided he did not want to drop ten$ of thousand$ on a new car so he bought a 92 Mercedes 300D with the 5 cylinder turbo diesel for $3000. It has about 180k miles on it. Looks great and seems to run just fine. 30+ mpg too.
I don't know anything about the Mercedes diesels. Is there a good informative Mercedes website to go to? I fear that there is no Mercedes equivalent to TDR because most people who drop that kind of cash on a car aren't gonna do their own wrenching.
