Bosch Compensates DC for Shipping Bad Injector Pumps
Bosch just compensated DC about $150 million to cover warranty costs on a slew of injector pumps they supplied at the beginning of this year. Apparently, one of Bosch's suppliers shipped bad parts. Both DC and BMW had to recall some of their cars because of it, and both companies had to actually stop production for a day.
This is all apparently embarrassing to Bosch, who is the worlds largest auto supplier and generally considered a top-of-the-line diesel component manufacturer.
The effected vehicles are not sold in the US anyway, so it doesn't directly impact us. I just thought some might be interested in hearing about it.
