how many of you are ''good ol' boys''?

I'm not one. My parents live a small community outside of branson Missouri. Whenver I go back there people always do double-takes when I get out of my truck. For one, my truck is usually not caked in mud and hay. Second, the bed is clean most of the time. Third, I have long hair and look like a fraternity boy (albeit a 6'2'' 230 one) and I'm only 23.

Before when I've been sitting at the pump filling up I've overheard some of those nice ''oh he must be compensating for something'' comments and find them infuriating. Maybe I'm just paranoid, but it gets irritating when people get mouthy... It even happened at Orielly's in Little Rock. The guy at the counter said, "do you USE your truck? Or did you just WANT a diesel?" (I use my truck to pull watercraft, whether it be a trailer full of jetskis or my dad's Mastercraft ski boat.)

Although I could see the diesel envy in his eyes I thought, "Whoa bucko, who are you again?"

No offense to anyone who is in this group:
Are the local ''good ol boy'' cliques so exclusive they shun other diesel drivers? Some of the locals in Branson don't even drive diesels. Why must they scoff at an outsider because I dont pull a 22' ranger 250optimax bass boat everywhere?

Do I need a 6 foot whip antenna? Is that what I'm missing?

The problem may be that there are tons of powerjoke drivers around there
