Do ford trucks have different "generations" like our Dodges?

I am trying to organize my website, and was wondering if they classify Ford trucks as having different generations.

I know that 2003 to 2006 is the 6.0L

'99 to 2003 was the 7.3L

Anyone know how to classify these things like we do?
