Diff between gas and diesel clutch

Does anyone know the difference between a gas and diesel clutch disc? Is it heavier duty?

I may have a Big Block chevy clutch behind the 4BT instead of the diesel clutch. But, I ordered a 4BT clutch. Have tore up two this year. Springs come out of the disc at about 3000 - 5000 miles.

Doing nothing heavy with it - just driving to work.

I have found a LUK part number for the 4BT clutch in a P30 van.
