North Carolina Emmission Laws
Didn't know the answer to this question, so I thought that I would just ask it here. I am wanting to put a 5" turbo back exhaust on my 2005 long bed. I understand that this system will take away the catalytic converter, and I am wanting to know if this is illegal or not in North Carolina. The rules to me are somewhat uncertain, in some states this is not a problem, and with emmisions testing in others it is. I know that they do not hook up my truck to an emmissions machine, but I do not know if the would fail it from a visual inspection because it does not have the cat. I am trying to figure out what I am going to do, and just want all of the facts before I spend the money. Guys and gals in NC speak up, and help me learn more about our laws. Thanks.
Kevin
