Durmaxes on hold??????

A friend of mine that is a GM loyalist and a excellent mechanic stoped by my shop and asked if I had heard the news. He claimed that GM has a hold status on all Durmax engines. That they were not selling any untell they fixed a unspecified ailment??
This is the first I have heard about it and was wondering if anyone out there has any info. I was hoping they would get it right this time. The light truck does not need another diesel 350 mistake from GM. Understand I am not trying to flame anyone or any truck just looking for some input.
