Trying to convince Centerline to make us an 18x8
toyo has open country 285/75/18s that are about 35 inches tall in A/T and M/T that i think would look perfect on our trucks with about 5.5 inches of back spacing. but no one makes a wheel that doesn't push the tires into the next lane.
centerline makes an 18x9 with 5.25 back space but i fear that width would look too weird on a 285 tire even though it's within specs of the tire. btw, i'd be inerested to see a picture of that set up if any one has it....
do you guys with 285s think they'd look right on a 9 inch wide wheel with 5.25back space?? it is afterall only a half inch wider.
i'm trying to convince centerline to make an 18x8 with something close to 5.5 back spacing. i want a wider look but 4.5 back space is too much and 6 inches is too little... or vice/versa.
i'm posting to see what you all think and get you to let centerline know if you think that size would sell. they are talking to me about it. i think A LOT of dodge guys would buy this wheel.
please comment, j
