8.3L cummins in a Ford

A while back an ambitious gent was putting a 8.3 litre Cummins into a Ford , Does anyone know what happened to this project

My brother inlaw ( heavyduty mechanic ) says it cant be done, I DISAGREE

I'd like to shove this in his face.....If I could locate it. One more question ,does anyone have info on the 8.3L Cummins in relation to the 5.9L...length,width,depth,weight,etc anything would be a great help.....Thank you all
