Cummins MPG vs. Dodge Caravan MPG: Gotta love diesels!
Wife and I just bought a Dodge Caravan to complement the Dodge Cummins. Caravan has the 3.0L 155hp V-6. Cummins is putting out somewhere in the 300hp range.(will dyno on 2/2/02!)
Caravan is averaging 18.5MPG and Cummins is averaging 17MPG. Truck weighs approx. 3000lbs more than the Caravan, is putting out twice the HP, yet only getting slightly less MPG!
God, I love diesels!
