Deutz Diesel Problem (advice???)

I have a friend with a screening plant that is used in his excavation business. The screening plant is powered buy a 3 cylinder Deutz Diesel engine. The problem he is having, is that the engine will not stay running. He says it starts with no problem, and sometimes will run for half an hour. Other times it will only run for 10 minutes. He says it jsut quits like someone turned the key off. He is pretty sure it is a fuel problem. He has cleaned the fuel tank, and replaced all the fuel lines and filters. Does anyone have any ideas what he can look for? Hopefully someone on here has experience with these Deutz engines. I'll be gone to the races all weekend, so I won't be checkin for a reply until Sunday or Monday.
