Duramax

I was running errands today and was talking to some chevy guys.
They said they know of someone who has a duramax with 325,000 miles on it. It has been apart several times just to measure things and it is wearing real nice, still in spec.
I thought it was a little deep but didn't burst there bubble!
Why would anyone who didn't need to, take a motor apart.
No problems with the motor or trans they say.
I left it alone and left the site.
