Unhappy Smoked by a 6.9!!!???

I know I'm going to get crap for this one, but my excuse is I didn't know I was involed in a race!

On monday I was driving back from Enumclaw, and as I rolled into Auburn I got stuck at the first traffic light. There I was at the light minding my own business, then I see an old F250/6.9 pull up in the lane next to me with two guys in it.
I was paying more attention to the cars in the left turning lane...their light turned green so they went. I was still sitting there with the trans still in neutral, then I saw my light turn green I didn't anticipate the light so I was still in neutral. As soon as the light went green the 6.9 guy floored it and hauled a** outta there(wasn't stock), and I could see the guy in the passenger seat looking back at me watching to see what I was going to do. Of couse I now realized these two were up to no good, and I'm hastily trying to get my truck into gear. I launch and floor it through shifts, but I took to long getting the thing in gear, they were pretty far ahead by that time. Cars were pulling into the lanes and I didn't have enough road to catch them by the next two lights.

I told my buddy (with a PSD) at work that the 6.9 is a Cummins Killer.
