First thing I want to say is 'It wasn't me. Thank god.'
Was working last night and got a call early in the morning from a guy that was scheduled to come in (thankfully, not the one that relieves me). He said he was going to be late due to car problems.
Hmmm, let's hear the symptoms, I say.
Left for work, drove to gas station, filled up, got about a mile away and choked, no restart.
Hmmm, maybe bad tank of gas?
No, everything seemed to be fine, the only difference is the pump nozzle fit.
Ding! Alarm bell. Hmmm, what color was the handle?
Green. (I know, I know, you can't always count on that but it is a clue here)
Ding! You say the nozzle was different?
Yea, it fit perfectly in the receiver opening, didn't go very far in though.
He and I both came to the conclusion that he had put diesel in his gasser (90's Jeep). And he called a wrecker to haul it to the shop. Oh, how I dread the day I do the reverse, I'm just that unlucky enough to eventually get bit.
Anyway, thought you might feel better knowing that sometimes the situation is reversed.......
