Cant surface flywheel on 86 Chevy 6.2?

Hello all

Heard that you cant surface the flywheel on a Chevy diesel because it will make the hydraulic clutch out of spec? Spent a few hours trying to bleed clutch after a surfaced flywheel was put in, now clutch wont disengage completely, thoughts or experience?
Installed new master to slave hose, and new slave cylinder to solve problem, but got worse. Is the master rebuildable?
Dont want to buy a new flywheel if I dont really have to!
1986 6.2 4 spd.
