New Land Speed Record Established for Diesel Truck

"The Phoenix" established a new record for a diesel-powered truck at "Speed Week" at the Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah last week (event held August 10-16):

The 263+ mph record bettered its own previous record by about 12 mph. Not bad for a 18,000+ pound truck!

Does anyone know why the Banks Sidewinder didn't run at this event as was previously advertised?
