6.2 to the rescue

Hey guys, yesterday my sister was coming home from work when she was just 2 blocks from our house there was a water main that broke under the road. She attempted to go around it and her car fell into about a foot deep hole that caved in under her car, she drives a 98 Acura Integra. She frantically called home for me to come and pull her out, I was down there in 2 minutes, there was knee high water all around, and it was getting higher. As I pulled up I noticed a lifted blue older Suburban in front of her car, I have seen this truck around town and knew it was an older 6.2 non turbo. The driver manuevers his truck into position, as a bunch of us hook up a strap to the rear of her car, which was about 3 feet off the ground, and to his front tow hook. He reverses out and pulls her car out of it's trap. Now picture this, 2 massive 4x4s, both diesels, about the same height, man I told my sister "believe me, you were in good hands, you were coming out of that hole one way or another". But the funny thing is, at that moment, I stood there watching this Gee Emm, pull out my sister and I remember the feeling of total confidence, like "this is why I drive a diesel", suddenly there was no powerjokes, only Power Strokes, there were no duraslax, only Duramaxs, no GM jokes, just 6.2s and 6.5s and the Cummins, I was proud dudes! I gave that driver the thumbs up and the shakah sign, and I will from now on everytime I see him, for one, he helped my sister and for two.....he drives a diesel. I know there are always going to be loyalist and fans of one type or make, ( heck that's why I'm part of the TDR ), and the competition will go on, but hey it was cool for one afternoon to feel like my TDR family turned into the Diesel family .
