You think DC parts are high?

From the GM site on the topic of an injector leaking fuel into the engine oil:

"I was wanting to keep an old injector but there is a $100 core on them, they cost $500 a piece, lower valve cover gasket cost $104, and this fuel line was $94, w/o the line,labor, or anything else parts bill right now is just over $2000.00"

The cost of Duramax parts sounds like an excellent reason to keep our Cummins/Case/Freightliner/etc parts supply. The GM site also talks of new Allisons costing $7,000 - $10,000!!!!!
