dealerships warranties

I was wondering if dealerships ever warranty another's work. I had my pinion seal replaced twice before I left NM becuase it was still leaking after the first fix, and it seems it's leaking again. I had it fixed in July of this year. You would think that a new pinion seal would last longer than that. I don't understand why it's leaking other than maybe the cold has shrunk the seal some. I keep my truck in the garage which is heated and am wondering if the hot and cold cycling is messing with the seal.
