Meet & Great - Lapeer Dragway - Test & Tune Saturdays?

NEW DATE - AUGUST 2nd - Lapeer Dragway - (Due to Milan Dragway Truck Show/Racing July 12th)

Due to mass persuasion by fellow board members I was forced into deciding to take my truck down the track. There was some talk about Lapeer Dragway awhile back so I spoke with them to make sure they allow diesel pickups. I know they are not the greatest facilities, but Milan only has Test and Tune on Wednesdays, where as Lapeer has it on Saturdays. The cost is 25 dollars for vehicle and driver and you can run as many times as you want. The racing starts at noon.

So I just wanted to gauge everyone’s interest. I know that the big camping weekend for New Era is on the July 26th, so was wondering if July 12th was too soon? Or if August 2nd was too close to the camping? Maybe August 9th would work. Let me know if people are interested and we can set a date, otherwise I will just go with some co-workers who have some muscle cars.

The track only has a snack bar, so they said we could bring a grill and have a cook out. My grill is quite large and heavy to load, I could bring it at last resort, but I could also bring the hotdogs/buns/toppings. Beer is probably out of the question though per reading the rules/regulations, which I have included below.

The website is, Lapeer International Dragway , but I am warning you ahead of time that it takes awhile to load, so you will only see the banner at the top of the page for about 3-5 minutes while it loads.
