Thumbs up Englewood Driveshaft

I asked the mods to move this as I first accidentally posted this in the northern tier forum.

A few weeks ago I was driving down the road and had a vibration in my drivetrain. When I pulled to the side into a parking lot and crawled under my truck, I found that I had lost my carrier bearing. I pulled my driveshaft in hopes of maybe putting a new one on myself, but found that the two separate pieces of driveshaft had to be pressed in and out. I called many places and was eventually referred to a place in Englewood, CO called Englewood Driveshaft.

When I called I was told that if I brought in all the parts he would press it in and out for me for $18. I brought it in and was told that the splines had froze and that is what forced the carrier bearing out of the housing (not sure how I didn't figure this out on my own, the driveshaft was completely stiff).

Anyway, he told me that he would rebuild the driveshaft for me and put his own u-joints on for $425. The price didn't sound appealing, but at the same time I knew that the driveshaft had to be rebuilt or I would simply lose another carrier bearing.

Long story short, I went with this option and got it back two days ago (only took a day to get it done). I must say that I am extremely pleased with the results so far. The driveshaft looks like it is in great shape, it feels great, slides the way it is supposed to. He put a new boot on for me and even painted it! When I initially put the driveshaft back on I took it easy for a few miles and checked the bolts at the rear diff. Once I made sure the bolts remained tight I put some torque to it and am just amazed at how nice the truck rides now.

In short, I highly recommend this place, it's right at Broadway and Hampden. Great work these guys do! And I almost forgot, they guaranteed the driveshaft for one year/unlimited miles.
