Windstar transmission help!!!

Hi I got a quick question I have a 1998 ford windstar with the 3.8L motor and I was driving it today and it was working fine and then I sat in a parking lot for a little wile eathing mcdonalds and when I went to drive it the transmission would only shift into 1st and 2nd gear and wont shift into 3rd or 4th, and I got some weird codes (1537, 1538) with my generic OBDII reader. Is the transmission in a hydraulic only limp home mode or is there something else wrong??? I figured there would probably be someone on here that works for ford that can help.
