Need Chevy Duramax High Idle help
I'm a Cummins owner, so the Chevy thing is kind of foreign to me. I know there is an easy way to connect to two pins and activate the factory high idle on a Cummins. Is there any similar (easy) way to put high idle on a Duramax? Here is why:
-I work for a company that sells and services equipment for fire departments.
-Recently a customer gave us a 2007 (but prior to particulate filters) one ton Chevy diesel crew cab 4x4 automatic cab and chassis.
-We are preparing this truck to be used as a small fire truck.
-We do these trucks often, but this is our first Chevy (most are fords, for the extra capacity of the 450s and 550s).
-Now that we have added all of the electrical items (warning lights, scene lights, radios, siren, winch, the starter motor for the pump, etc.) we find that we need a high idle switch to keep the truck happy should all of the items be run at the same time.
-Is there an easy way to add a high idle switch to this truck?
