Chrysler 300 hesitant starter

My first non-CTD post. My wife's 300-C has developed a quirk when starting. When you first turn the key, the starter doesn't activate. Turn it again and it does, or if you hold the key in the start position until all the clicking and whirring noise under the hood subsides, it starts. It reminds me of the older Ford diesel's "wait to start" delay.

Are we looking at some pre-curser to problems?
