tips on replacing O2 sensors.

my '98 Neon has just shy of 100k, and i have notice a significant drop in mileage, decreased performance, and the CEL is on, so i hooked it to the diagnostic computer, O2 codes came back. i bought both O2 sensors today from NAPA, i will likely change them this weekend. ive got the haynes manual, but obviously, real world tips are much more useful! thanks!
