No show, No pay?

Since this topic was brought up in another thread, and the VP debate... I was thinking about this. Our Gov. here in Minnesota has come up with the idea for Government Official pay. Basicly he wants to change the pay for State Rep. and the like, including the Gov. himself, into a preformance paid possition. Basicly, if you dont show up for work/vote you DONT get paid, you accomplish nothing, and there is a dead lock in the house between party lines, they DONT get paid. Forcing BOTH parties to work on comprimizing. (sp?)

I personally think that this is not just a good idea, I think Its a GREAT idea, that should be looked at for the big boys on the hill. Not just trying to hit Kerry and Edwards on this due to thier no-show record, but to all reps. that if they cant get thier work done, they better not get paid... i know if I didnt show up to work, I wouldnt get paid!
