How Much More careless can the VP be than this Accident???

http://www.boston.com/news/nation/wa...nting_partner/

And a very funny rendition.....
http://news.yahoo.com/s/huffpost/200...YwN5bnN1YmNhdA

Oh and BTW - Cheney had better get use to this - there's going to be a zillion of em......

Being a lifetime member of the NRA - since 1954 when my grandfather - who was a gunsmith - purchased me a lifemembership......I have a very hard time with the
accident - I mean the simple elementary precautions that were obviously ignored are amazing.....there are secret service all around - what if the others were shooting in the direction of the VP by accident???? What would be the repercussions if this man were Killed/Paralysed or whatever ????-

They were all Very Lucky - they had better say some prayers tonight!!!!!!

Now I know the VP didn't mean this to happen by any maens - but he was very careless!!!! I mean Does anybody think this Couldn't have been prevented??????

These hunts are always a very controlled event........

1. I mean - 1st you have to know where everybody is -- THIS SHOULD NOT BE OPTIONAL
2. You proceed in a line - afterall this is a preserve where the birds are put out in a "shake and sleep system" see below for the explanation.....and nobody should be ahead of the VP - or anybody else. That way when you chase up a bird - you know you can safely shoot straight ahead and up to a 45 degrees left/right angle....
3. You must always know where your shot will wind up -
4. Obviously this precaution didn't take place.....SOMEBODY wasn't settinng this up correctly.......

Shake and sleep

(that's where you take the bird - put it's head under it's wing - hold upside down and shake - NOT VIOLENTLY - but gently for about 7-10 seconds - and then let them down - they will stay there for up to an hour......that way when the Client ( HUNTER) comes along - they are where they can be easily found.....Trust me this works - when I finished my graduate work in Wildlife Management - my 1st job was with the US Fish and Wildlife Service working on a NWR in teh Mississippi Flyway.....I banned thousands of geese and morning doves......I learned how to "sleep a goose"

Now if you want to have some fun - follow this experiment......

Hold a chicken with both hands around the body - you will be holding them with the wings folded into their body.....carefully place the chicken on the ground ((where you can make a mark - like loose dirt and or sand-don't let go) and now have somebody else help you by putting the chicken's head on the ground - being sure to have the neck stretched out - easy not violent be gentle - with the (chin) on the ground so they are looking straight ahead.....be gentle - now take a stick and start at the point where the beak is the furthest away from your hands - be sure the neck is straight out.... now draw a line starting at the beak away from the bird for about 2 feet.....you can now release the chicken and they will stay there for up to 15 minutes MOTIONLESS!

BTW - Look at what they did a few years back????? Wow - Great white hunter - Killed 400+ Pen Raised Birds........
