Angry Virginia Tech - Another Lockdown Slaughter

I was absolutely appalled by the senseless slaughter at Virginia Tech, and sickened once again by the idiotic approach to dealing with it by administrators and police. Once again kids are stuck in a building being slaughtered by unknown assailants, and once again the cops cluster outside while authorities tell the rest of the students to stay put and wait to see whether they get shot.

People, you CANNOT wait around for someone to help you in such a situation! As we have seen at Columbine and Virginia Tech, the likely outcome is that the cops will be unable to get to you before the murderer gets tired of killing people and commits suicide. If you hear shots in your school or office building, GET OUT IMMEDIATELY - break out a window, open an emergency exit, break whatever rules you have to but GET OUT! Don't sit there trapped and make the murderer's job easier!

And if you are taken by surprise and some guy shows up in your classroom and there's no time to escape, fight back tooth and nail. Throw books, hit him with desks, do whatever you can to fight back. If you don't, you will very likely be executed anyway. FIGHT BACK, don't wait !!

And if your teacher, or boss, or the cops themselves tell you to stay put, SCREW 'EM! Get out of there! If you end up getting in trouble later, it still beats being slaughtered in cold blood. Important life lesson: When your life's in danger, it's OK to BREAK THE RULES.

Some will remember our discussions from a year or two back about the possibility of another 9/11 style attack. I contended that it is not only possible, but probable, due precisely to the bizarre urge to obey authority that has been bred into the American people. The slaughter at Virginia Tech is just another sad example.

What the heck has happened to us?
