Please EXPLAIN the Imported Chinese Food Thing !!!!

OK - I understand having a zillion Chinese working for pennies an hour making stuff BUT tell me how it's Cheaper to get wheat gluten etc from China????? We've eliminated labor in this area by large mechanized farming --- even if 5 million chinese have 50 stalks of wheat there's no NO WAY it's cheaper----WTF gives here
