Huckabee wins Iowa
Well it's a long way from the nomination and I still have some issues that need addressing but after listening to him answer some of the "Ron Paul" assualt questions I know 2 things. He answered honestly and his answers showed that you can't judge a man by how the "competition" portrays him.
I would still pick Thompson first at this point but my reservations about Huckabee are beginning to fade.
Any support I may have had for Ron Paul is now a distant memory, if you can't be honest about the issues and how your opponents stands on them then you have no business being President of the United States of America. We don't need another dishonest administration like we had with the Clintons for 8 years, the world is only now beginning to regain it's respect for us.
MY main reasons for supporting him to this point are as follows:
He supports the fair tax- the easiest way to cut taxes by another 50 percent and keep funding level where they are today and the best way to curn illeagal immigration
He believes butchering defenseless unborn children is wrong
He understands the threat terrorist represent and is willing to defend this country against them
He believes education should be taken cared of at the state and local levels (this is true of almost all issues for me including environmental issues)
He understands what the Constitution says concerning religion
He has promised no tax increases
The issue I have my main grievance with
He promises to build the fence on the Mexico border from one end all the way to the other in his first 18 months in office This his a huge waste of tax payer dollars and will not accomplish anything.
