In plain English, he's saying, our USA way of life is over - we and our way of life are now at the disposal and whim of people and nations who have LONG envied what we here have long FREELY worked hard to obtain, enjoy, and pursue.
Now, since most of those outside the USA can't have what we have enjoyed thru a system of government and laws THEY don't, their goal is simply as much damage and destruction towards us as possible, by whatever means available - economic, terror, or threat of violence.
SO, Mr. Obama apparently is running up the white flag of surrender, and tells us we must willingly accept doing the same.... I have only one thing to say to Obama, and those who think like him:
GO STRAIGHT TO HELL! #@$%!
Our society and way of life was obtained by blood, sweat and tears - much of that on the same foreign soil we are now hearing accusations and criticism from! For my money, we'll work to eliminate current dependence upon foreign energy - and when THAT happens, the Camel-jockeys can damn well EAT their oil, because I'd make every effort to see our nation be as calculating and profit-minded regarding exportation of FOOD as THEY are with the energy we currently need to grow, transport and process it.
"SURRENDER" our way of life, because other nations jealously resent us for it?
