Compound?/Retreat?

Can a republican have a “compound”?, A Democrat a “retreat:? or is the nomenclature party specific??

What if you are an independent? Would you have a “multifaceted living area”

Does a compound have to be fenced? barbed wire?? brick walls 8' high? security gates for ingress/egress??

What would qualify as a "retreat"??

I'm trying to decide if we have a compound (it is barb-wired, with gates for ingress/egress) BUT it's very quiet here, most of the time... (with the occasional sound of gunfire!), peaceful during cocktail hour when we partake of adult beverages, (mine whiskey on the rocks, hers VERY DRY martini with two olives!) SOOOOooooo it could be a "retreat".

Both Dems really suck IMHO, but then so does John McCain.
