Global warming

I did a little research today.
Thinking of all the talk about global warming.
The doomsdayers say that if the north and south poles melt it will bring the ocean levels up by 20 feet.
The facts are that the two poles are about 20% of the surface.
The average ice thickness at the north pole is 7 feet, while the south pole is 3 feet.
Doing a little basic math shows that if the ice is all water ( it isn't, it has air in it) and it melts, it will bring the surface up about 1 foot.
Anyone have big al Gores e-mail address???

Well that explains why Gore hasn't sold his florida condo/home!!!!!
