Credit Card Bill Passed.

Recently, the new credit card bill was passed by congress & it will probably have an effect on those of us that pay our bills, on time.

A lot of the benefits the credit card companies give us will be repealed, apparently. I have two credit cards that give a nice discount (four to five percent, off) on fuel purchases. They are considering charges to just have one of their cards, also.

The savings will be applied to those that use the cards & don't pay their bills. Another redistribution of wealth, it seems. Punnish those that use the cards responsibly to pay for those that do not!!!

I understand that the credit card companies need to do business responsibly & remain profitable but, at a cost to us that use their product responsibly.

The government wants the card companies to eliminate excessive costs for those who do not use the cards responsibly. Maybe, those are the people that should be punnished, as they are now.

I agree that the credit card companies are probably not making much off of me. However, I was "offered" their cards. I did not go out & beg for one. They were the ones that made the ground rules as regards discounts on the use of their cards. It wasn't my idea. I'm just taking advantage of what they offered, to me.

If these new rules become effective, I will get rid of all the cards, except one. Today, you need to have at least one card. Can't get an airline ticket or rental car without one, as I understand. I refuse to pay for a bunch of credit cards. Personally, I don't like using them. They scare me to death. You can get into real financial trouble if you don't act responsibly, with their use.
